“Hikeable Gastein” is also about family hikes for all abilities. Keeping pace with the trend of our times, a number of family-friendly theme paths have been developed – and kept in perfect condition through continuous maintenance!

Hikes in Gastein
This includes, for example, the Biotope-“Places of Power” Path: It leads from the mountain station of the Fulseck lifts via the Heumoosalm and Grabnerhütte, and via the “Felting” theme path to the lift mid-station. You can then ride back down to the valley on the gondola. Of course, guided hikes are also offered for all of the theme paths. The Geomancy Path is yet another way to truly experience “Hikeable Gastein”. This path runs between Klammstein in Dorfgastein and Sportgastein, along the banks of the Gasteiner Ache, which flows through all of Gastein Valley. Standing at seven important locations are 9 stone sculptures – which draw your attention to hidden dimensions and connections within the landscape.
The “Legends Path” at the entrance to Gastein Valley features 10 well-designed info boards providing insights into Gastein’s world of legends.
“Pine Magic on the Graukogel” is yet another theme path that can be tackled by young and old. The Graukogel is renowned for its especially beautiful and old pine trees – in fact, many a tree is almost 400 years old. The Swiss Pine was actually “Tree of the Year 2011”. Be sure to give the seats made of pine a try: They have been proven to drop your pulse rate considerably, which in turn promotes relaxation!
The “Gastein Healing Gallery Theme Path” presents the history of the “Gasteiner Heilstollen” on 10 info boards, and comes to an end after 35 minutes next to the Heilstollen therapy center.
