Snowshoeing in Gastein Valley – every Wednesday!

Schneeschuhwandern in Gastein

31.10.2016 - Snowshoeing in Gastein Valley is an extraordinary experience! In Sportgastein, for example, with fantastic snow conditions and extraordinary views guaranteed, or to the top of the Graukogel.

The latter, incidentally, is famous for its ancient pine trees. During a hike taking around 3 hours, you will gain around 100 vertical meters, then enjoy the amazing views at the highest point (1,750 m) before hiking back to your original starting point. Total time on trail is around 3 hours, with a refreshment break possible at the Nassfelderalm.

This is an easy hike, though be sure to come equipped with sturdy shoes, warm clothes, sunblock and sunglasses, as well as ski poles and a drink.

We set out twice a week at 12:30 p.m., heading up the mountains in Sportgastein or to the top of the Graukogel. The Thermenhotels team will be glad to provide you with details.
