Thermenhotels Gastein consciously avoid long transportation routes whenever possible. Butter, milk, and curd cheese come from the alpine pastures of the Gastein Valley, accompanied, of course, by many vegetables and herbs from their own garden. But it gets even more local than that! Some of the game meat comes from their own hunting grounds and wildlife enclosures. And whenever you find trout and char on the menu, they likewise come from their own fishery on the Kötschachtaler Ache!
